So many factors to consider....are we judging looks? performance (including mods)? economy? enjoyment?
I am assuming a 1-10 scale
Here are my self ratings:
Looks: 5 (mine looks mostly stock. just have window tint, DIY mesh grill and an exhaust tip)
Performance: 6 (for the class of car it is in....I am not comparing it to say, an Evo or Ferrari or GTO or Mustang Cobra or Corvette. Only comparing to LIKE cars. If I compared to EVERYTHING, then maybe 3).
Economy: 7 (very affordable IMO. And it has 4 doors!)
Enjoyment: 8 (Again, it is what it is. And what it is is a very enjoyable car for the $).

Overall I think a 6.5. I have a whole laundry list of things that will make it a 10 (in it's class).

Tough question dude!

If comparing it to other cars in its class. I have an 04 so I will compare it to what was available.
1. Sentra SER
2. Scion tC
3. Corrolla XRS
4. Civic Si.
5. Mazda 3 2.3
First let me say I picked these vehicle because the have roughly the same horse power and all can be purchased new in 04-05 for less than 20k. The 06 SI has taken a step up. I would say that overall drivability, performance and handling when compared to these cars is a strong 7 weak 8 out of 10. I drove all five of those before (hard on a test drive) I bought my ralliart, they all had good and bad points. The only car that was more commuter than sport compact was the mazda 3, it handled nice but didn't feel like it had enough engine. The corolla XRS didn't know what it wanted to be, the SER was almost to harsh for my taste and the tC and Si. were not practicle seeing my wife was pregnant at the time and a 4 door was a must. Sorry this is a little long but I wanted to put a comparison point in this post.

i mean like the rateings we have here. where everyone can rate your vehicle 1-10. lets go overall by combining looks and performance mods. the looks bring my car down (looks stock except for wheels and tires)

it's almost impossible to have a "consistent" rating, everyone thinks differently of their car, ie: someone that likes a CF hood would rate appearence at 9, where as someone who hates it would rate a 3.

But anyways, all stock for me, until a few weeks time. if mitsutech gave himself a 6 for all those mods, I guess I'll be a 2, with no mods... yet

performance wise, i give myself an 8, ... a 9 once i get my turbo installed (never a 10, always room for improvement) ... Looks, i give it a 9, because i like the sleeper look. stock with black rims, carbon fiber hood, and black window tint... sexy as hell

but since my car is stock on the outside, alot of you will say a 3, but if u like the sleeper look, than im 8 or 9. opinions are gonna vary

overall i'll give myself an 8, 8.5 once im turbo

ah, dont mind me, even when my ra becomes NOPI quality i would still probably only rate it as a 9 cause just like "lsd" said thers always room for improvment.

but thats the rating of my own custom work, as far as the ralliart in general i would rate it as 8.75 . i belive the ralliart to be one of the best in its class

Mine I rate basically like javastan, comparing in the same segment of cars. Against those, the car stock, for me it receives a big time 8. The only car faster is the Sentra(some may digress) but only in a straight line. Now for autox or if you live somewhere with nice twisties, the RA is right at home.

With the performance mods I have, which by the way aint many. Only springs, dp,2.25 piping Injen intake and piggy receives a raging 9 to 9.5. Those minor mods affect the car greatly. Notice that I havent even thrown a new better set of tires in the mix

Yeah still stock really, it rates better than any car I've ever owned. And compared to the work ute (toyota land cruiser & hilux) I drive 9 days out of 14 its an absolute treat!
It does lack the eyeballs squished into the back of your skull accelleration I loved in my brothers '04 WRX STi - however it did cost less than half that - which is another plus!!
And how many cars can pull of bright yellow?
Definitely above average: 6-8 out of 10 if going by that scale, its just such a fun, dead sexy car... a lot of bang for your buck.

Before I read all the replies I would have rated mine like a 7 or 8 as far as mods, but mine would be like a 5.5 . But stock the the RA posts a serious challenge to any car in it's class. In its class I say 9.25 , Just a little over 9.

I love my car, and for that its a solid ten, BUT it needs alot of work to become above a 5 in profomance, looks, i give it a 8 i love sleeper, and its a damn sexy car, no gaudy evo 8 wing, nothing like that, quite and fast . All in all i cant imagin driving anything else (in its class). I love my car, and more importantly, so does my wife.
