0-60 times?
0-60 times?
I always hear about 1/4 mile times all the time. but i was wondering what are ya's 0-60 times. have ya done any timing on ya cars on the street? i really want to from the turbo guys also.
You know better Speed_demon.... No street ANYTHING allowed. That promotes an unhealthy lifestyle. Please ask for it in the form of an "unofficial" time or closed course g-meter data or something. Anything but public street data or they'll lock this thread up tight! Don't expect much more than guestimates, ppl don't seem to want to post actual timeslips anymore or more people would just be able to go to the registry and find this info out *Hint* *Hint*
I have a G-Tech Pro meter but I don't use it much. There are a few websites that you can punch the 60' 330' and 1/8 mile times and it will give you your 0-60 times.
I am at 3.3 -3.4 sec 0-60 on the Evo 8 MR, 12.2@111.4 PIR
about 3.8 on the Evo 9 12.6@107 SIR
7.4 sec on the 98 Golf GTI 15.7@91 SIR
8.6 sec on the Civic SI 16.3@84 SAR
5.6sec on the BMW 14.3@90 SIR
By the way, don't ask me but YES ia have taken all my vehicles to the 1/4 track multiple times

They seem to vary widely. The mags I've read have the sticks between 7.2 and 7.8, while the autos are even more spread out, anywhere between 8.0 and 9.2. I don't think Mitsu has released factory times for the RA so we have no 'genuine' figure so to speak.
Zero-to-60 is good to know if you're concerned about how quickly your car will get to highway speed when you need to merge with traffic, but people who place their cars in 'well regulated, managed and governed competitive situations' are more concerned about distance times like the 1/4 and the 1/8th.

I hear the g-techs are pretty acurate at 0-60's etc...
Yaeh but the Mitsu was nicer cosmetically than the Talon(my opinion). On the 97-99 you can't resits, the car offers a good package all around. Now they have EvoIII turbo upgrades for dirty cheap and I always maintained that the Eclipse is the brother of the Evo performance wise.

It's the main reason the new generation of Eclipses will never be AWD again... We have the EVO now
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to own an EVO, but 99.9% of my driving in ON the street and not the dirt. I'd rather have a GSX honestly!
