well the firs one effed up when i got drunk at the track while trying to tune my n2o setup and put the fogger in backward, sprayin the maf with n2o (funny, it didnt seem to like that) then the second one i had a verry dangerous nitrous backfire throught the throttlebody that cooked it (as well as shredding my filter). but everything is fine now. i paied nothing. sisnce i used to work for mitsu i had the service manager at the dealership that i used to be the shop foreman give me his maf sensor off his ralliart and warranty his (wow he did it 2 times for me) so it was all free. man its good to have friends!

insufficient compression to fully combust the higher octane gas maybe? at least that is what I have heard from pretty reputable sources.

Nonetheless.....he needs to save $$$$ by not using such a high octane gas. It just isn't necessary in his case.

k... I opened my hood before I went to work last night and observed a few things. First, there is really dark colors swimming around in my rad overflow. It is oil ( GULP) and my rad lines caved in again and when I vented the rad cap again, this time I needed to add coolant. THIS IS BAD. I have either blown a gasket ( intake I think ) or cracked the head or the intake. I am gunna try and get this warrantied. Honestly, it runs fine, doesnt burn any coolant ( strange) I have her parked right now. I am not driving any further with it at all. I beleive this may have been caused a while back from a cold start ( -30 c ) and not having it plugged in and driving off right away. If warranty will not cover this, I will have to fix this myself or pay for it out of my own pocket. Its probably gunna be a few bucks LOL. So I wont have any extra money for mods till this is dealt with dammit. Hopefully its just a gasket.

sounds like a head or head gasket to me. check your compression.

ya, its not good. I dont have time to deal with it this week. On the weekend I plan to spend a day with it investigating and changing things out. I work 10 to 12hr shifts during the week. I have it parked so its not going anywhere. ahh well. At least summer isnt here LOL. Always gotta try and look at things positively.

Pull the code, if it is a P0102 then reset the battery, if the light comes right back on, then it is your Mass Air Flow Sensor. Trust me, I have first hand experience with this and it sounds like the same exact problem according to your description.

Oil in my antifreeze would be caused by a MAS??? WTF??? what about my coolant lines and the small amount of coolant I am using? That is very strange.

Seeing as you are trying to look at the positive side of your bad luck seeing as you will be taking the head off why not look at raising the compression while it is off just need a few extra bits and pieces

but hope it is not too bad and no real terminal damage has been done
