ya, thx for the positive input. I am taking her back to stock today. I will try and get her towed to the dealership on monday. If I was going to bump compression on her, I would need more than just getting the head shaved. Or would I ?? I should have a big paycheque at the end of april, so whatever happens, its going to be better than it was. So if warranty covers it, I can get a few mods on my " coming soon " list done. Kind of excited......but not really.

"If you have been running 94 octane all the time, you have been wasting your $$$ and killing your engine. It is absolutely idiotic to run a higher octane than what the engine is tuned for from the factory. "

Run the type of octane required by the manufacturer for your car. Lower octane gas burns easier. Higher octane gas does not ignite quite as easily and is needed for cars that run high compression, turbos, and/or advanced timing.
If you put high octane gas into a car that does not need it then you are wasting money and probably losing horsepower.

there shouldnt be a problem. There are many different thoughts on that. I talked to a few mechanics and they said your just waisting your money....thats all. But other members here beleive you should have a tune for running higher octane. They are right cause then you are optimizing your performance out of the gas

well, it turns out that the problem the car was having was a rad cap issue......fuc*in weird. The oil in the rad lines is unexplainable....the car diagnosed fine and compression tested perfect. So....the car is driving fine... I am in the process of stepping my octane down to 89 and I thought this was gunna cost an arm and a leg but it never did... I decided to install a set of HID headlights on her with the money saved. Im not sure what K they are. I beleive they are around 11 or 12 k. They are really purple. They look freakin awesome....and the best part is no more daytime running lights. The downer is no high beams. but who needs high beams? Either way I am releived and happy. Damn, I love this car.

that doesnt sound right. rad cap shouldnt cause cel of bog your engine. something is wrong. possably a cracked head that only leaks upne pressure when it is hot. or something along those lines. you have to explain the oil in the coolant somehow anyway.

LOL.....hell no. I have done every single oil change on that car myself except the last one I had to bring it somewhere cause I had no time to do it. But I watched them do the oil change right in front of me LOL. I dunno what to think.....I have been driving it the past while and it is fine. Even under hard acceleration. No more problems... LOL....weird. I am gunna miss this car when its gone, but I plan on getting a 90 beretta GTZ QUAD4 H.O. and throw in a set of W41 cams and W41 chip. I had a 90 before and whow! what a car. I think it would be a very tight race between the RA and a GTZ. Plus the fuel cut is at 7200 RPM on the 90 GTZ q4 HO and the W41 bumps that to an amazing 7450 RPM. From a 2.3L GM....LOL. The w41 is rated at 190 horse, but thats overrated I believe. But with a few small mods 200 WHP is easy. Anyways...way off topic.

Not that I doubt any of that although I doubt you will get 15k+ for your Ralliart.

I have been trying to sell my wifes on here for 13,500 and all I have gotten is low ballers. Good Luck!
