Well, I had my first autocross event of the season today (SCCA Indy). It was a "test and tune" event and I think I did okay. I ran in the STS class and placed FIRST! I beat out the second place car by over 1/2 a second (heavily modded Focus). Other cars in the class: 2004 VW GTI, VW VR6, a 2.0T Galant.
Not sure where I placed overall, but I had a real good time.....improved every run by at least 1 second (4 runs).

Yeah....I suggest you go try one out. They are loads of fun and you meet all kinds of cool people just like you!!!

ROAD/RACE

 

Thanks. Unfortunately no vids this week.....I need to clear my mount with the SCCA.
Weather was rain on and off.....track was mostly wet for my runs. Temp was 50 degrees.
My buddy in a heavily modded Evo had a 40.5 flat time vs. my 41.8. He is still hearing about that!

There is a short clip of my only autocross last year in the Teaser Video in my signature. A short slalom to a 90 degree left hander (note all the tire squeal from the stock wood....er, RSA's).

 

I'll take that ride along, please also provide funds for my airline ticket and accomodation while Im there in Indy. I'd also like to rub Tony Dungy's head, he so shiny

 

I don't know if Tony Dungy is into that.....I will have to ask! As far as the ride alongs.....I meant you can ride along by watching the videos that I take next time.
