Our new baby

Well we got rid of the nissan 200sx and got this 99 civic si. This car is so much fun its like a toy. yes the ralliart beats it on torque, but its just fun to drive around. bassically this will be a dailyish driver because it gets much better gas milleage than the RA. and it looks very nice too!

Oh and i dynoed the RA. i got 158HP 155 TQ with CAI and Axlback mods.

Oh sure, just as I'm about to move this to the Other Cars section, you gotta throw that dyno graph in there.

very nice car you have picked up... why did you get rid of the 200sx they are an amazing car over here we have workshops doing just very modest mods to them and reaching over 350hp atw...
your dyno is very consistant, I am surprised with the torque tho not as high as I would of thought when compared to the hp... but still very nice

i was comparing my dyno with roadraces ( CAI, Axleback, Piggy) and i have the same tempatures as theirs, and i only have CAI and Axleback *not from RRM* and stock ecu and im making 3 hp less than theirs and they have a piggy back.......

Thnkz for the comments on the civic, it has AEM cold air, highfflow cat, magnaflow muffler, Lowered with TSW rims. (all this came with the car). i picked it up for 8,900$ its a little high however it only had 70K miles, and other sellers were wanting 9,500$ or more and all had over 100K miles. and i wanted the blue which is a hard find here in dallas in great condition.

oh and we got rid of the 200sx cuz (1) it was an se so no sr20 , (2) it looked like crap, (3) its sow as hell (4) was falling apart

being just a small amount of difference in hp is very surprising but this is probably one of the main reasons why I do not like roller dynos as they are inconsistant due to having so many factors that are not taken into consideration like wheel sizing and tire pressure... and what day the car was made (mondays seem to be the better day for cars to be made, fridays not so good)
Looks like you got yourself a very good deal as well on the car well done

Wow, your power is very good but your torque is excellent. Just for comparison, I made 153/153 on a dynojet on a 98GTI VR6 with just a cheap ebay cone filter.

The GTI is rated 174hp crank hp. Anyway, I am very impressed with your torque numbers. Way to go, it sounds to me like you have a very strong SI.

i beleive your mistaking the dyno and the si, the dyno was with my ralliart, not the si.
