So if your getting the two piece injen i would not recommend settling for the short ram.

+1000 on that man did the same thing not because I was running out of time just because I had to much time on my hands and wanted to know what is the difference with the short ram and the longer "unknown name" yes with the longer tube it sounds a bit better and better gains.

Just got my rd1833p yesterday, installed short ram portion last night @ midnight.
Nice gain, but still going with the CA extension for the whole purpose of cold air=more oxygen for combustion.
On a hot day in texas, you will definitely notice a low-end bog with a short ram. IMO I think you're better off with the stock air box and a k&n drop-in than a short ram on a hot day. In the winter short ram rules!

I have the Injen, but installed the top part only. Last night i measured the IAT in my car and qlitv's car, wich has the full cai installed. At idle my car was measuring 164 degrees f and the cai was measuring 125. In the highway mine woud drop to 128-135 and his was under 100 degrees, so there is a big difference between both.
With the stock airbox temp was very similar to the temp with the cai. All the measurements were taken last night aproxx 88 degrees maybe a little bit cooler.
