Question mail order Engine Damper Kit from NORTH STAR CREATIONS how long does it really take

its been a month since i've orderd the Engine Damper Kit from NORTH STAR CREATIONS and its been since the 28th of april and now its the 25th of may. how long does it really take to mail a small peice like that to canada. i ordered the RRM intake and Underdrive pully on april 30th and i already got it since the 10th of may so my question is how long does it really take to ship from the State Side to Ontario especially when they have a statement like this:

"Shipping

Due to the high amount of orders, we have changed our shipping policy. Orders are expected to be completed within 2-3 weeks or earlier. Once orders are complete, shipping will take approximately 5-7 business days, depending on where it is shipping to. Item availability may vary. All items are made to order, please be patience."

I am patient but after the reviews that i've read who would want to wait this long

It took me about a month to get mine, and i live in MA. For the money it is a good mod. It does what it is supposed to, and im happy with it.

Exclamation

Have you tried contacting them? I would suggest that or register at sclc.net (so cal lancer club) and message or make a new thread in there product forum, they are always on the forums as a sclc.net club sponser. I know waiting sucks, but it'll be worth it... this product made a world of difference for 1st, 2nd, while 3rd, 4th gear have much better pull.

Personally I think its inexcusable for a merchant to take a MONTH after receiving your money to send you a product, with no notice or info as to why the delay is occurring. This isnt the first post asking this question and NSC will never get my buisness consequentially. Furthermore some people who've purchased it have had to replace some of the parts with more sturdy parts of their own.

well that's your loss if you dont get anything from them. they have great products. you guys need to keep in mind something that you may not know. North Star Creations is only 2 guys, and they have other jobs. They work on the products every second they aren't at their other jobs. It takes some time, and they were slammed with orders. I can vouch for the product, as it is a very worthwhile mod, especially for the $$$.

i don't know why anyone would replace parts with more sturdy parts, because this thing is solid. there's no reason to change anything else out on it. if your engine is moving THAT much where you need thicker steel to hold it in place, I wouldn't question the dampner, I would have your car checked out.

this is only the first of many products they are gonna be selling. I know because I have a few prototypes on my lancer, and I love them all! from dressup to performance....stay tuned!!!

Thumbs up

Thats awesome that some others are getting such enjoyment out of their mods. I went with the solid motor mounts because i personally felt that unless i was ordering a product from out of the country, it shouldnt take over a month to get it. on their own website it says 7-10 days, not 30-40. If they cannot offer the product in a manner they themselves try to adhere to, they should let their customers know - its only fair, especially since they have been paid. And there have been a few members of these forums that have had to replace the dog bone piece they use, because it did bend. Sure, it was likely less than 10 dollars to replace it with something more sturdy, I just personally believe it's something NSC could, and should address. Again, it's obvious there is some great use for this product and I am not disputing that. Congrats on your purchase and thanks for not flaming me when voicing your own oppinion. It's nice to have a decent chat and still disagree. Cheers

I know someone on here was b1tching about how it didn't fit and was so pissed off that he decided to cut it so that it would work....and he was putting it on backwards. i personally don't see anything on NSC's setup that is less sturdy then say the WeaponR one.

I agree with telling the customer how long it will take. That is only reasonable. I'll give the guys the headsup about the print on their website.

Post

i am pretty patient with the delivery time but the fact that they state a 3wk waiting period minimum before shipment i thought that i would have it by now the anticipation is killing me and with the reviews i thought that it would be here by now ...... oh and i did e-mail them about the wait time and when i could be expecting the product but i havent recieved a reply as yet and that was over a week and a half ago. but with RRM when i gave them an expired visa number they called me right back two days later i thought that it would delay shipment but i got it within 2 and a half weeks later i thought that was exceptional with order placement response but i dont know ill try to e-mail and post on their web page and hopefully ill get an approximate shipping date since it seems to me that they didn't ship the product yet....but as a retailer i think that they should inform me of any delays and if the reviews are so good they shouldn't wait for an order to manufacture the damn thing.

Took me a month to get mine.

Let me tell you that this is by NO means a high qaulity product. I had to modify the entire setup to make it fit. Then 1 day at the track and the bracket for the motor mount broke of at the mount. Basically you pay for a design idea that is half *** at best. Then its up to you to make it work and improve on it.

if you had to modify the entire setup, then i would be willing to bet you weren't installing it right.

plus, if you modified it, and it broke.....do you see the connection here??

post pics of what you had to modify. I would like to see it.

I had looked at getting one of the damper kits, but since they both looked pretty ghetto I've decided to go with mounts instead, a little engine vibration won't bother me very much.
