normal tool kit is just a jump box with air compressor.
Autocross toolkit is pretty much anything you need to take the car apart!

I carry my Craftman assorted socket set, open/closed end wrench combo, assorted screwdrivers, vice grips, hose clamps, flashlight, and jumper cables. It's funny that I always and up saving other peoples a$$es when they break down. I've been lucky and have not had any major break downs myself so far.

I used to carry a full socket set, screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, a gas can, jumper cables, and a hydraulic floor jack in my DSM. Saved my azz many times. Nothing like being able to change a head gasket in the parking lot at work.

My RA? I have a 1gal gas can, jumper cables, and a box of rags. Never needed the gas can, and the rags come in handy for cleaning the car. I used to have a screwdriver in the glovebox, but I took it out a while ago. Never needed to jump my RA, but I've jumped many other vehicles with it.

I can't remember the name for it at the moment... But in our's we just have a single socket (one of those ones that has the little pins inside that move so it fits just about any size bolt or whatever), of course jack, jumper cables and cleaning stuff...
