i just moved to Lubbock TX from dallas and i went to go get my car inspected and they told me that i can't pass because of my RRM Intake...they told me its illegal!!!! haha...im sure i can find a place that won't be complete idiots but its too late today and im just still pissed...thats pretty much it! Peace out!

 

Throw on you're stock intake(assuming you still have it) then take it back and show them that you removed the "illegal" one, get it passed, then put it back on afterwards...

 

or just go somewhere else like you said. don't need to deal with that shop, b/c they are obviously clue free.

unless u kno a inspection place that knows u as a person and u can get it passed b/c their cool. THEN WHY would u go to a place where obviously puttin on a CAI is illegal... its basically goin to the dealership under warranty with bolt-ons....and something goes wrong and they blame ur mods

 

but its NOT illegal...thats what set me off...and i have my stock one but its packed somewhere in my million boxes...and i am REALLY REALLY lazy! haha...im just gunna go check some other places...but now that u mention it...walking in with a gun waving and screaming random crap is just as effective! haha
