Stock 2006 Ralliart Dyno

Hey everyone. I'm brand new to these forums, so forgive me if I come across as being a total noob - after all, I am. Anyway, I just got back from Vivid Racing getting the baseline numbers for my stock 06 RA before I start doing mods later on this week (intake/UD to begin with - more later).

The numbers I got from the dyno seem to be on the low side, but I'm wondering if they're reasonable based on the weather/location conditions that we tested under. Do these results seem right to you, or did I just get a RA on the lower end of the performace scale? Thanks for your help in advance...

- Eric

Those numbers are about right for a mustang dyno I believe.

First off, is your car a manual or an auto? Secondly, you dynoed it on a very hot day - 100F.

That's about right for a mustang dyno, they tend to show 10%-12% less than a dynojet.

It will be 100 degrees or more for the next two months. In fact, its 100 damn degrees at 11PM. No getting around it in these parts.

That temperature alone is costing u precious horsepower. Mustang dynos suck cuz they basically take some horsepower away from the "REal" horsies. Most times it take 8 to 11 hp in ralliarts, that temp aint helping none either.

Exactly. Mesa, AZ is where I'm at. These runs were done at around 10am. It's now 2am (just got off work) and it's still 92 outside, so there's no getting away from the heat here until, oh, October.

It's a manual.

So the numbers aren't that bad then considering the conditions and the Mustang dyno? Not that I'm that concerned with the actual baseline numbers anyway - more about the amount of change that I get once I start doing add-ons.
