Holy air filter

Not what your probably thinking... but I recently dumped in some Injector cleaner, bought a new air filter and got the oil changed all within the same day and holy crap did it make a huge difference...

I hadn't changed the filter in awhile... but now i hear the intake so much more louder... maybe its my imagination but it sounds more throatier now... and when MIVEC kicks in i feel it pull alot harder as well..

2nd gear 1/2 throttle and you will feel MIVEC kick at about 4000rpm

With the stock airbox, change the paper filter every other oil change (every 6k miles). People with K&N drop-in's should clean/re-oil it once per year (spring is my preference). People with CAIs should clean and re-oil twice per year (early spring, late fall).

Every time I clean mine I can't believe how much crap comes off it.

when I had my CAI on my previous car I found that I had to clean it (K&N) every 5000kl when I did oil change and it was always dirty - with the K&N you can get like a sock thing to go over the filter this helps a little with water and sand

AGREED!!! i havent changed my oil filter since i got it. I went to the 15k mile service, they changed the air filter. Before the service, i topped out 115 i usually do 120+ when the car was around 5k miles. I got the new air filter and topped out 120 with 5 ppl in my car. Better gas mileage and the car pulls much better

Where would you go 120 with 5 people in the car? That sounds dangerous

the fastest i have ever gone was 120ish... i was too busy driving to take a good look at the speedo... but i do have a shaky shot of me doing 110...

probably not the brightest of ideas to take pictures of the speedo while driving that fast but still...
