Until i saw the pics above(with the covers on it) I never noticed the Mazda 3 look, but in those the relationship seems pretty evident.
I must say, I do like the new front end they're going for, if only because it's different with the whole "fish moutn" grill...
hmm...2008 eh?...just in time for when I'll, or rather the wife, will be wanting to trade-in/sell the RA...hrmmm...

No matter what engine it is i'm sure its faster then ours. but i don't really like the styling as much. Liking the 04-05 more then the 06s and now the 07s too.

Just for you guys, while I was out running errands, I swung by Mitsu's R&D center here to see if I could spot this thing. No luck, I even drove around back, but their bay door was closed. The front of the building was pretty, though, with a nice lineup of cars - Eclipse GT, Eclipse Spyder, Evo IX, 06 Lancer Ralliart, and what looked like a Galant Ralliart, but I'm not sure. Just after leaving the place, I also spotted a GG 06 Ralliart. 2 Ralliarts, I think I've just doubled the amount I've seen out in the wild

haha yeah it does.. my bro has a mazda 3 with lip kit, when i saw the pics and looked at the back i was like wow looks like my bros 3 lol i wanna get a ralliart but idk for right now

It looks like it has a hood scoop instead of a hood vent which likely means the intercooler is laying flat on top (a la WRX). This is consistent with rumours that the turboed lancers will be available in Canada. In case you don't know (or care), the reason we don't have Evos here is because we have stricter low-speed collision requirements and the front mount intercoolers don't meet the standard.
