Representin' at Thunderhill

Here's a few shots from Hooked on Driving 7/27/06 at Thunderhill, nothin special.

Everybody:

Me in my RA:

My friend in his e36 M3:

My instructor's '03 evo:

Black evo... not sure if he's on the boards (wasn't very friendly):

My instructor scaring the crap outa me (he runs 4xx HP, 20+ lbs of boost and I thought it was stock until we got out there)
http://gotbluemilk.com/web060727/sm/...s/image16.html

By the end of the end, David Ray (the main man) says "All day I've been hearing people talking about the black Evo in Group A and nobody seems to know that's not what it is!" (The real black evo was in group B)

I had somebody say "Well, you should be pretty fast with AWD and a turbo."

But hey what the hell, I'm out there trying to show them that the RalliArt is more than a grocery-getter. Was a great day of driving and we all learned tons. If you guys can catch an HOD event, I would really recommend them. Great organization, plenty of track time, really good coaches, overall solid program. Was able to improve my driving greatly in a pretty comfortable environment. Great track for beginners, too.

Hope you like!

jelious. Looks like you need some Progress Race Springs if you don't already have them.

Yeah I really gotta cut down on roll and ride height. I could feel the thing pitch pretty hard, especially when I would reallly push it in turn 2. I have a rear Progress sway bar and perches but I should probly get it lower and tighten it up more. Those shots really make the body roll apparent. I just don't like the thought that putting lowered springs on stock struts can wear em out faster. I already put them to work pretty hard. Also, I don't like coming to an abolute dead stop for driveways, speed bumbs, etc. What do you think?

nice pics! love that first one. The instructor is doing his thing and you look so determined.

You should get the Tein Basics..it's about 7-800 bucks from what I remember..i would get a whole set of suspension rather than just springs if I were you...that is, if you want to spend that much.

I know the whole problem with body roll..

I wish I could do a track day sometime cause that looks like a lot of fun! What tires were you running that day?

The evo and the sti help counter that roll by having AWD, and just because they have that roll doesn't mean it's not good to get rid of it.
