AMSoil is good stuff; I run it in my DSM when I track it. Even after two day sof lapping and oil temps 260*+ (gauge only goes to 250), the oil still had that golden color to it. Just put some 1030 in my car a few weekends ago getting ready for this weekend's tracking.

The only oil I use is Amsoil. I have always had good luck with it.

OEM is best for auto transmissions. Mitsu's fluid has particular additives that the auto trans needs to run its best.

Amsoil is AWESOME oil. I've run it in my wife's Altima for 11K miles and just sent it off for analysis at Blackstone..we'll see how it fares. Her 2.5L I4 didn't seem to consume any oil at 41K-51K mileage.

I've also used it in my old STi, which with the flat-4 that is notorious for consuming oil, didn't burn noticeable amounts on Amsoil, yet on Royal Purple I was down about a 1/2qt (est).

Once I change the oil in the Evo, I'll be switching to Amsoil.

I've been using Amsoil since my car was new last year and 52k later, no problems. I change oil usually at 7500 miles, although lately I haven't been on top of it as much, my last change was 8900 miles ago. But since I have the oil analyzed, the analysis tells me I can go at least 10,000 miles between changes. Amsoil claims extended drain intervals for its oil and since I currently drive about 4-5 thousand miles a month, most of which is highway. I go about a month and a half between changes.

I'll be using Amsoil ATF at 60k for the tranny flush. It is Mitsu Diamond rated. Seems like Amsoil is good stuff and I use to use Mobil 1 exclusively in my Focus ( also no problems)

Bottom line, as usual, keep up with maintenance and any car will last.
