2006 Ralliart Price

I have been trying to get a new car for a while now and I am hoping to go from my 03 ES to an 06 ralliart. There are a couple dealerships around me that have them and they are asking around 19,900 for them. This seems a little higher than I was expecting but I am assuming since all the 07's are coming out that I can get the price to drop. Also I noticed that mitsubishi gives you $1000 factory rebate on the 06 lancer.

How much do you think I should be able to get an 06 ralliart for?

You should be able to get a base model for $17,705 including $605 destination charge but excluding taxes and fees. With sun and sound, it should be $18,805. Both prices are $1000 below invoice, which is what you should be able to get. Your price seems high.

None of the ones I found had the sun and sound package. I wonder how these 2 dealerships can justify $20,000 for a year old ralliart.

i would definately lowball them on price, especially since the new ones are coming out shortly. if they are not happy with what u want to give me, i'd go with honda or subaru!

Are you (or someone in your family) a costco member? Submit a purchase request on the costco website using the membership number. They will give you the contact for the dealership that participates in the costco program. They should give you a very competitive price. Also, go on carsdirect.com and submit a price quote request there too. Then sit back and watch these guys compete against each other. You should also be willing to travel a little to get your car. Call dealerships that are further away. Even if you don't purchase from them, if they can give you a quote close to what I was giving you, that's all you need for bargaining power locally. Worst case, you have to drive an hour and a half to save $2000 - not bad.

Definitely don't pay over $18k out the door. If you need to, consider buying a car in another state, flying out to pick it up and driving it back. Not as expensive as it sounds.

There are no 07 Lancers, though, so the dealers aren't going to be as motivated.

sticker price on my 06 ralliart in march of 6 was 23,250.

my car is completely loaded and it was the only one like it that i could find at the time in southern california. i ended up at 20k OTD so as far as im concerned anything under that is a good price.

I paid 19k after taxes, registration etc for a base RA. So i would think anything around there is ok.

Let's not turn this into another "what did you pay for your Ralliart?" thread, we already have a couple of those out there.

Are you talking about a 5 speed, auto? Base, sun and sound?... the msrp, according to mitsu's website, starts at $18,999(us) for a base 5spd, so then you have to think about admin fees, pdi, freight, taxes, options, etc...

http://www1.mitsubishicars.com/MMSA/...&1157603214868

Now granted, there is some room for negociation, but starting at 19,900 from the dealer is probably in the ball park. But when negociating, make sure you know if you're talking before or after all those little fees and taxes or after.

Edit: Also keep note that "$1,000 factory rebate or 1.9% APR for 48 months"...so basically if you want the $1000 expect that the interest rate will cost you more then that over the finance term.

ok, first of all, Ralliarts were NOT a hot item back in '04. In fact barely anyone knew about them. So yes, back then you could get one very cheap. The sun and sound was 1500.00 MSRP WITHOUT side airbags which were another 150 bones.

Now, at this time, Mitsubishi, is a hot car company again and there are no more Ralliarts after this year PLUS you are at the end of the rope for the model line with nothing to replace it but an idea or a dream.

Ralliarts in CA are friggin hard to come by.. Put Sun and Sound with the now standard airbags and there are even fewer choices left.. Picky about color? Good Luck!!

Still a hell of a good car for the money.

End of the model Line?...nothing to replace it(the ralliart)?....have you not seen any of the spyshots for the '08 Ralliart?...sure it's a different/new bodystyle, but there will be more Ralliarts...just different.

But yes, for the money, it's one of the best cars you can buy new
