Why did they call it a Ralliart?

I don't think it takes too big a stretch of the imagination to assume that Mitsu's performance engineers i.e. Ralliart tuned the RA's suspension.

Exactly. I'm surprised so many Ralliart owners don't know this. It's not just a randomly chosen name, Ralliart Div. designed it. Obviously within a budget.

basically the oz is just a lancer base off the ralliart. Our Ra's are good for perfomance but not the fastest by anymeans.
People offend me by callin my RA an OZ. The oz just has a very sporty goodies on it, that's really all.

nobody said the RA isnt faster then the OZ and that isnt even what the thread is discussing. read the posts and understand them before commenting

The EVO RS makes sense as they are extensive changes to this car. In my mind the OZ Rally as being purely cosmetic is just what americans want. Looks and no go. I still stand with my original statement that the OZ Rally should be the Ralliart. Besides I like the facts of the OZ Rally heritage.
It does not surprise me fore Mitsu to release a car and not back it. Like we want a Ralliart parts divison here. I don't want to pay $129 for a drop in filter. I will pass on that.

No one has told me what VR-X stands for either.
Though I must say the Mits Colt Ralliart is kinda cute, like Dr Evil's Mini-Me to the Evo - its AWD with a Turbo, same style air vents on the hood etc.
But even if I won one I'd sell it.
