Thanks from Australia

This morning I woke up to go outside to back the car out of the driveway so my brother could drive out and I see this huge box and I'm thinking WOHOO CAI and Pulley arrived!

This is just a shoutout to RRM for their quick delivery and service! Took 5 days (minus weekends) to arrive from the US - Australia. How good is that?

Thanks Gabe and RRM!

lol thanks kevin, yeah I notice you have the exact same mods! haha.

Also, I think it was much quicker than 5 days.. because on the sheet it was signed on the 25th of this month and it arrived on the 29th! lol, too quick I tell yah too quick, but I ain't complaining no way jose! haha

Kevin, did you let it idle for a while when you installed the intake?

And for the pulley, did it take you long?

I won't be able to do anything until probably Sunday/Monday because I got work today until 8pm then have to goto a exam for a job Saturday which won't finish until 3.30pm!

What were shipping costs on top of the std pricing off RRM's website?

Yes i let it idle after the intake for like 10 mins. Pulley took like an hour total. Both jobs will prob take like 2.5 hours total. Good luck.

I'll pm you the pics when I have installed the intake.

Shipping costs were standard. For example, for the CAI it was $60.00 usd shipping which is fair. I bought the pulley and Gabe was kindly enough to combine shipping.

I just left that panel off when I installed mine, I've been through 3 inches of water once (flooded highway underpass) and drove about 45 mins in a blinding rain with no problems. Some put that panel back on with it all cut out, but its not needed.

*edit* Oh yah, make sure to get a hose clamp for your filter.. I hadn't installed it yet in that picture. The filter MAY pop off if you dont use a hose clamp.

hose clamp^ that one is a little small though, I think I used a 3 inch

Thumbs up

Okay, so after a bleeding finger, an hour or so and paint chip getting stuck in my eye I finally got the CAI on.

Well my dad and my brother helped alot - thanks to them. (I was so noob I swear.)

Anyway, the CAI is on and I am very pleased! RRM a well manufactured product! Hat off to you guys.

So took it for a spin and my goodness, gains noticable +1 . Engine sounded meaner and definitely punches harder. Inside the cabin the engine was quiet, very under the radar, very shy until you push down on the accelerator. Almost sounds like an exhaust if I may say so. From 2 > 3 the car really pulls out of gear and into the next without hesitation and it just screams for more.

One funny thing I did notice though. While I turned the ignition on, whilst the car was still jacked up, just to be sure everything was okay before I put the wheel on, the bloody wheel was spinning... does it have anything to do with the diff? (Passengers side wheel).

So yeah, pulley goes on tomorrow. Best bang for your buck for these two products. For those who don't have it, get it, for those who have it,

So I'm glad to have got it from the U.S and definitely RRM's workmanship on their products are quality A Grade products!
