plastic valve cover...

i was puttsing around with my engine bay earlier and i decided to take off the black plastic cover. im not too sure on whether or not to keep it off. my mentallity was that it would get more air soo it might become cooler but then again it could become hotter due to the heat thats disipated from the rest of the engine...should i put it back on?

Leave it on. Taking it off won't make any difference heat-wise, and leaving it on will help keep things a bit cleaner.

I'd have to agree with the speed hole theory, the more holes=WHP! Just ask Homer J.
