Thinking of trading in my RA...

ok guys, i've been thinking alot about this for the past month or so. i really want to trade my 04 silver ralliart for a... manual silver ralliart lol. i know thats goofy but i've been looking around and found a couple of good deals on them. my car has just about 23,500 miles and the two i've been looking at has even fewer miles and cost a little less or just about what i could trade mine in for. switching cars might actually save me some money! i dont wanna get something more expensive because this car is pretty much paid off and i dont wanna deal with anymore monthly payments. i really enjoy this car and plan on keeping it long-term but starting to realize that automatics are harder to mod. i've been searching through the forums but finding only limited info on automatic hp. what i wanna know is how much difference in power is there between a manual and the auto? and finally do you think this is a smart investment?

Instead of replacing the whole car you could always just do a tranny swap...

you said your trade in would be the same as the manual RA cost. wouldnt you need the money you traded in the car for to pay off your loan??

1) cars not not an investment
2) You could not swap a manual trans into an automatic car. It will not pass smog when they run the VIN and see it was originally an Auto
3) If you are going to trade, then go for a new Ralliart. I did that because I wasn't happy with my yellow one related to several issues with the car ( color, maintenence issues, etc.)
buy someone elses used car and you get their headaches for free!

Not sure where you are looking, but out here in CA, used ralliarts are hard to find and command a premium price, especially since the '06's are almost gone!

I would definately wait till you decide to buy a better car personally. Can you really trade for a m/t without loosing money?
