question about trading in my car

hey guys . well imma trade in my car in about 1-3weeks, and i had a few quesitons.

im putting my car back to stock . but some of the members on this forums want to trade parts and i have no problem doing it , because my cars going back to the dealer. but.. i wanna know if i trade these certain parts , would the dealership know that they were traded and if so , would they give me a lower price for my car.

1. one member wants to trade me for my headlights, hes gonna give me his sotck lancer es chrome headlights + cash for my black ra headlights? i think its a great deal , but would the dealer know and try to give me a lower offer on my car?

2.i gave away my stock yellow spoiler and have a black ra spoiler on my car now. will the dealership give me a lower offer because i have a black ralliart spoiler on my car instead of the stock yellow ra spoiler.?

3.then the last thing is , i have my stock ralliart rims powdercoated black. is the dealer gona give me a lower price because the rims are black?

i hope to hear back from u guys. thanks

The dealer might not know about the first question regarding the tail lights, depending on the dealer. The one I'm dealing with just started it up and looked over it.

The black spoiler and powder coating will probibly get you less, how much is really the tricky part. If it is worth it to get stock parts is also tricky, I would go to a dealer and ask...I personally wouldn't go to the one you will be making the purchase from.

What car are you moving to?

To get the best price for ya trade in make sure to detailed so all the dealer has to do is but it on the lot. That includes the engine compartment

The mismatched colour of wing might hurt ya a bit.

Congrats on your future Evo.

I bet you are losing sleep,

Only someone who's had a Lancer and knows the difference has a chance of noticing the headlights. It's been my experience that the salesmen are pushing the limits of their knowledge if they can remember what trim levels a particular model comes in.

The spoiler and wheels are kinda obvious, though. They'll probably ding you a bit on those.

1) Yes, because they will have to pay for that part to put it back to stock, plus labor.

2) Yes, because they will have to paint it.

3) Depends on whether or not they decide that the look depreciates the value of the car and they have to put stockers on.

Depends, but you will probably get dinged for all three...a "good" saleman would notice the headlights, and well the paint rims and mismatched spoiler are obvious, which they will probably claim will make it harder to sell because the potential customer will have to want the 2 tone, or they would have to paint/replace.
