Stock, the USDM Ralliart is the fastest, but the JDM Ralliart has the most potential.

They don't like to be associated with the Lancer word.

anY IDEA what difference the USDM ones have over the AUDM 4g69's to gain 4hp ? Im going to assume its purely the ECU tune, or even a minor tweak in exhuast/muffler depending on emissions / petrol in each country?

This would be extremely hard to do in a FWD ... would need to build a tailshaft tunnel due to the lowness of the car .. plus rear suspension would be changed somehat to suit a rear diff, etc On top fo that, ud need a AWD gearbox to mate to the 4g69, along with engineeering it, etc etc ...... im 99% sure that the AWD models are ALL Auto as well, they dont come in Manual.

EDIT >
Come to think of it ... mightnt be too hard with the huge number of Outlanders (Airtreks?) on the road in AUstralia ... looking under the one i have in my driveway the tailshaft appears to sit UNDER the main chasis due to the height of the vehicle in comparison to my Lancer. Its quite interesting though comparing the two cars and seeing ht similarities, both under the bonet mechanically, and also interior.

Different emission systems on the exhaust. The Aussie ones are more restricted due to an extra catalytic converter.

is funny you say that because here in PR the new trend is to make 'things' awd.. example be a hyundai excel.... the made that pos awd with a talon/eclipse drivetrain oh and yes the allmighty 4g63t.... a lot of $ and a lot of creativity was envolved and the thing runs good everywhere. and yes is a daily driver...

A few Accents/Excels in Australia have been converted to AWD with Mitsu GSR (1.8Lt) Drivetrains + Engines . Went alright .... but why bother when u can just buy a Mitsu GSr or Evo!
