Non-heated mirrors pissing me off

Ok. I now swear that my 05 RA had heated mirrors (because I never had this problem). The 04 I traded into does not and it's really bothering me. Are there any remedies that you can think of? RainX or antifog spray doesn't do much against the winter frost in the morning. And spending $200+ for new OEM side mirrors from Canada is not a practical solution either. This really sux.

I never knew heated mirrors existed! But I guess living in a place devoid of snow and regular sub-zero temps thats not surprising. I have heard of heated seats though... never sat on one though.

What about lights fogging up in the morning? You never had that problem? Heated sideview mirrors fix that too.

I haven't tried anything yet, but I'm sure there's some kind of anti-fog spray or something.

Find a wrecked Jetta, Golf, GTI, New Beetle, Audi etc. (they all have standard heated mirrors) and pull the heating element off the back of the glass and afix them to the RAs, wire to the rear defroster swich....or you can buy some fog-x.

Heated wheel wells would be nice, hell, lets just have the whole car heated. That way I can put in a remote start, and have the entire car cleaned off in minutes.

It's 54* in Boston, what are you complaining about? It's a whopping 10* here. -2* with the wind chill. My furnace shuts off, rests for about a minute, then kicks on again. My gas bill this month is going to SUCK.

Haha...-2 is common here in my region. And I'm glad I have heated mirror. I got another solution for you. Get a garage! lol

Seriously, I never heard of any type of antifog spray, but maybe using winter windshield washer before you leave with your car. Keep some in a spray bottle.

I'd do it, but I don't trust myself enough. Hey OTTER!!! Why don't you take a stab at this? Start a new "how to" thread on this

Here's how you get the mirror out, someone go do this and have a look, I'm short on time right now.

Heh -2F with the windchill, man that would be nice.

This is what iv had to deal with for the last 2 weeks, in degrees Celsius, -40 windchills Heated mirrors FTW.

Some really good coldweather windsheild Washer fluid in a spray bottle could probably work if nothing else does, that stuff melts solid ice pretty quick

P.S. sorry for big picture never looked at dimensions
