robbed by dealership
I'm sorry but any "wear" item that cost $40 and has a lifetime warranty isn't worth the money. The only reason they have a lifetime warranty is because it only costs them a few bucks to manufacture the pads and there is no way that you would ever go through $40 worth for the tiem that you have the car. These pads are junk and you should never buy them for your own vehicle. Spend your money on quality stuff if you do your own brake job and get either hawk, axxis, or EBC pads. Just my 2 pennies though.
I went to a brake place and had my minivan done a few days ago. Two rotors & pads and the rear drums and brakes bled and both calipers rebuilt = $285.
I'd suggest calling around and getting some price quotes before you take it in to a dealership.
My Dad took his minivan to the dealership for pads & rotors and paid $400.

Can't hurt.
Brake fluid absorbs water. The more water brake fluid absorbs, the lower the boiling point of the fluid. If you ever get your brakes really HOT, the fluid may boil a little and form air bubbles in the lines.
Even if you don't get your brakes that hot, letting waterlogged brake fluid sit in the lines too long can rust them out from within.
It doesn't take much, just get the small bottle of fluid from the parts store, and bleed each brake a few pumps of the pedal.

HOLY Thread ressurection!!
Man......time to learn how to work on cars. Yesterday morning, I changed all 4 corners to Hawk HPS, and flushed the entire fluid system out with ATE Superblue fluid. Cost about $150 for everything I needed.......and I got to spend some quality time with my Dad.
