Ralliart Keyed

So I'm getting in the car in the school parking lot today to go to lunch with my girlfriend when I realize that some low-life has keyed both door panels on the driver's side - a good 3 feet or so in length. Pretty deep gouge, too. Campus security could care less - the lazy fatass basically laughed at me for being concerned over a vandalism that happened to MY CAR in HIS parking lot! So I went about the investigation on my own... couldn't figure out who it was. I had one guy in mind and was close to fighting him but I can't prove it was and who really knows. So now insurance is going wayyy up for semi-unrelated reasons and I have to try and get both doors repainted before I leave the country right in the middle of the holiday season. Don't you just love people that spread the holiday spirit around! Yayyy

Many insurance companies don't increase your premiums because of vandalism.

Talk about some blow-***. Seems like people are more than just jealous of the Evo's. (Re: seen a few "Keyed" threads since I've joined the board - 2 days ago).

I work in a bodyshop, so I see this type of thing all the time. Really irks me that people can be that assinine to other people's investments (which is what a car is, actually). I love the work (because it's easy), but I hate seeing it because the people are always so mad. Sometimes, they are even hard to deal with because they don't know how to dirrect their anger that they are feeling.

Thanks for the condolences... yeah there's a $0 deductible for vandlism and the premiums wouldn't rise but there's one complication. When my parents added my car to the insurance account my dad declared himself as the primary driver of my car and our agent at that time said once something happened they would put my name on there as the primary driver. Now that something's happened (sooo stupid!!) we had to add my name, meaning the premium will be doubling or worse. But I can't complain, at least it wasn't an accident that caused that change - I'll count my blessings.

Yeah I don't understand how negligent some people can be with the property that others pay lots of money for and care for... but I won't be taking any anger out on your type MikSchultzy, you're here to help haha.

Reba - probably a good thing this didn't happen to you and that you don't have a gun haha. Luckily none of my guns were anywhere near me.

What a bastard. Even if you were the type of person, I'm sure his car is a 1985 Tempo. But you just don't go there.
Some ***** at my school scraped my rear quarter panel and then thought she was sneaky by going to the other parking lot. Hmm someone saw a silver Integra next to my car, only 2 at my school and one of them has black scrapes on the front bumper. Duhhhhhhhhhhh

Same thing happened to me, i brought my car onto campus (Northeastern University in the heart of boston) to help move my stuff into my new apartment 15 minutes away. While i was in class from 9:00AM - 10:00AM someone egged it, keyed the passenger rear door and the 1/4 panel as well. Sucks cause i just got my car repainted less than a year ago. I'm not going to claim it or anything i'll just leave it as it is because i can't afford to loose my car for longer than a day right now with all the moving being done and i start work january 2nd for coop. O well.. happy holidays people, remember what goes around comes around. He/she will get it, and when they do they'll be feeling the same way we do, if not worse.

that sucks, that also happened to my cousin's car, black as well.

i follow my rule of never f*cking with someone else's ride. i have no problem messing them up, but never the car. it's just a cowardly thing to do.

good luck with everything, man.

Yea dude, sorry to hear about that. The same thing happened to my 06 TL 2 weeks after i had it. Cost almost 3g's to repaint the side of the car. Luckily it didn't take a big hit on my insurance. But good luck with everything dude.

First off, sorry about your car.. When someone keyed my 10 yr old saturn POS I still ranted for a few months. Now to my point, if you haven't allready claimed it on your insurance you might want to do a cost analysis on paying out of pocket for the pain vs them premium cost increase. May be cheaper in the long run. Just my .02

Lol, happened to me at a hotel parking lot. I bet its one of those f***ing civic owners because they were eyeing my car. YOu didnt have it as bad as I did, I have to repaint the whole car except for the hood, they even wrote **** on top of my car lol.. Most of the scratches were deep..****ing lowlives messing with people's cars because they cant have it. Hate those *******s, I rather have them come up to me instead of ****ing with my car.

hey, i hope you find the bastard! one time @ my high school, someone ****ed with my rear license plate frame, broke it off my car. Now i have the OEM Mitsu steel one, bring it on B*tches! lol. I assumed it was one of my friends, and i still think it is because from a far distance i saw them (3 of em) standing behind my car during lunch, but for some reason, they deny it even after i brought in the ever great campus supervisor into it... at least they didn't key it, that's my biggest fear!
