My car rolled off the jack

Was changing my rims last night. Forgot to put on the e-brake. While changing my front left wheel, the entire car rolled back about a foot and off the jack. The car landed on the disc brake. So the car was on 3 wheels and the front left disc. I'm thankful I wasn't hurt. I managed to get the car back up and put the wheel on. Drove around, doesn't seem to have any damage or anything. Should I be looking for anything? ***puts no flame suit***

I hear ya. I remember a "Faces of Death" video where a guy's entire lower half of his leg was severed because of this... gives me the ******* just thinking about it.

Always use wheel chocks too, incase e-brake fails and always keep it in gear.

Thank god no one was hurt. Another precaution I take is that I keep the jack under the car, jacked up enough so its just touching a part of the chassis.

Hear for sounds. make sure DUST plate for the rotors are straight not bent. Check all your links. You should be good to go.

The dust plate is slightly crimped at the bottom, but doesnt touch the disk. Will this cause any problems? Links seem fine.

I would pull the disc off and look over it carefully. I'd also be concerned about damage to the wheel bearing. With the wheel in the air, spin it by hand and listen for any bearing noise.

man the rotors are pretty strong i would if your really worried. take the rotor off and check it for any warping. other than that. your lucky and learned your mistake. it could of been worse.

Thanks for your advice guys. I don't think I'm gonna take the rotors off to inspect them. Kinda feel humbled by all this and don't want to screw up again. I think I'll let the service shop do that when I go in for my next oil change. Did you see my new rims though? What do you think?
