I would be concerned about the rotor cracking later on. They aren't meant for that sort of stress. It will look fine, but I would seriously just buy a new rotor. That's just me.

I'm scared everytime I'm under there, I spend quite a bit of time making sure I'm safe first. I don't want to be a stat !

alignment seems fine. the drop wasn't that huge. I'm gonna go buy a real floor jack and take all the precautions you guys have given me (thanks!).Originally Posted by blair_london

Exactly!! No one should go under the car without jack stands in place in case the car falls off the jack.Originally Posted by Toddevo 8

That "almost" happened to a friend of mine while we were putting on his spare. Basically we have it off and was putting on the spare and some how the car rolled back. He had just put the wheel on with no lugs yet. Scared the **** outta me! Screwed on the lugs we could and jacked it back up.

When changing tires you should do all the above if you can.
When changing one on the side of the road set the e-brake and put the spare under the car while you take the flat off, and then put the flat under the car and put the spare on. That way if the car falls it won't fall to the ground. BTW, be careful with jackstands on asphalt when it's hot, they will sink in.
If you are going under the car it's ramps and chocks or jackstands, nothing less.
