Short Ram intake question

I've jus installed my short ram intake on my car. I've let it idle for a few min and then drove it conservatively for a few min.

Now from a dead stop, when i gun it. It goes all well but when the car changes from 1st to 2nd ( note this car is an auto) approx around 40, it seems to lag jus a multi sec ( the car jerks or something like that) then pulls again when on
2nd.

Is there something wrong? I did not reset my battery cause our ecu can learn the new intake but does it take time or something? < Could that be the problem?
This lag or slight delay is really weird, i feel like the car is not pulling smoothly when it goes 1st to 2nd. I can def feel a lil tq gained back from puttin the intake but this slighy delay looks like is someone mis-shifting the car lol. Any input would be nice

Note this an RRM SRI, also the car is idlign mad FUNNY. Usually it idles around 750 rpm, but the needle is not constant. Every 30 secs or so, the needle drops a lil to 600 then rises to 850 then back to the 750.

QUESTION is: DID I INSTALL IT right??

Also i oil'd it with K&N oil before i put it in. I did let it settle for 20 min then i put it in. I didnt think i over oil'd it too? But now im scared? Someone help !!

The filter should've been pre-oiled, so at this point it's probably over-oiled. I'm assuming you have the K&N recharge kit. If you do, follow the instructions on cleaning the filter (to remove all the oil) and then oil it.

If any oil got on the MAF, you'll need to clean that, too. Use an aeresol can of electronics cleaner. It'll get the oil off and not leave any residue.

nvm i found the problem. It wasnt over-oiled. The inner part of the intake or the bell fell in. My dad put it back. Now i can hear the whoosing sound and the car pulls smoothly. No more jerks and the car idles just fine. I guess the inner part was blockin the airflow when it fell in

yeah it works great, esp now coming into winter = free CAI+SRI !!!
also it sounds awesome at WOT but still keep the sleeper quite sound of normal DD,
no trouble at all, just was a lil scared doing it as it was my first real engine mod and im not heaps mechanical savvy but i go thru it, just a biatch to get the pipe on the first time and then screw the clamp on - easier if some1 is there to help

didnt come with decals, only what is printed on the acctual piping itself but im sure u could ask for a sticker

also, its a lil hard to hear, but i took 2 vids (with my fone - 1.3megapixel so its horrible crap) but u can sorta hear the difference b/w stock and SRI

stock: http://s102.photobucket.com/albums/m...rent=Stock.flv
SRI: http://s102.photobucket.com/albums/m...urrent=Sri.flv
they go all from standing start, first gear to redline, then first gear and second gear redline, and then second gear start
