Our cars make tons of noises when they're frozen. Annoying as hell.

 

Do you think we've solved your problem?

 

yeah in cali, its a comfortable 75*F....oh yeah what now...hahahaa

 

Man it was 80F just yesterday, I 'm getting heat soak!!!

 

haha it was more just a statement/... current thought. but, i was hoping for some input on the noise, u know, happen to anyone else? kinda stuff. lol

im happy now though, got my car scedualed to get bumper and stuff fixed, and i just got back from geting an oil change

 

I get this annoying rattle sometimes that sounds like it's coming from behind my steering wheel and gauges. And of course my suspension when i go over bumps.

 

I get both of these. The rattle behind the steering wheel goes away, but the suspension over bumps sounds horrible, never used to do it before the snow. its gotta be the salt and snow crap all up in the wheel well. I still have my injen CAI still on, doing fine so far, its probably dirty as hell, but i will clean it come spring. Cant wait till spring.. dam cold, and dam snow.

No matter how much u try and keep the car clean in the winter its just not possible.

 

I have a 04 stock RalliArt and was also experiencing noises while turning during this recent cold streak (live in Rockford, IL). I do not really know how to describe it other than a periodic thumping sound coming from the front of the car. It was to cold for me to look at but I did bring it into the local Mitsubishi dealership. I took them for a test drive and let them hear the noise. Next, they put it on the lift, checked it for a couple minutes, and said it looked fine and if I wanted them to look more into it that I would have to pay $70 bucks, which I didn’t. Anyways, the noise seems to have disappeared now that it has warmed up.
