No.. DON'T go with Redline transmission fluid in a Ralliart. Search the forums as there was a thread discussing this problem before. GM was recommended iirc but synthetic fluids=loud scary noises from the transmission.

iirc=if I recall/remember correctly. all the fluids mentioned here are available online somewhere, but yes it will be available at the dealership if you want to go there.

I have read about BG synchroshift, GM synchromesh, and royal purple tranny fluids on EvoM being used in RA's with excellent results. The redline fluids are used by the Honda/Acura guys, but I am not sure how they would perform in our transmissions. They are all designed for the same purpose, but I know for a fact that some fluids just won't do. I tried the Mobil 1 75w90 synthetic in my transmission and switched to BG synchroshift within 15k miles. It was horrible, and I would have changed it sooner but it was winter and I am lazy.

Close, but not quite. Letting the clutch out slowly in first will never stall the car, it'll just idle in gear, rolling slowly. To test, get the car to about 15-20 mph, put it in 5th, let out the clutch and floor it. The car should stall. If it doesn't stall, and the engine actually builds RPMs, then it's slipping and needs to be replaced.
