which intake...
what if you wrap it with that "wrap" that they use on turbo manifolds? idk what kind of material it is or where you get it but what if you use that around the piping near the battery..might help
Heat wrap won't do much. If you ever get a chance to handle some you'll see why. It's basically just fiberglass cloth. Thin and not very sturdy.
I went with the AEM SRI, its a great fit and isplaced out of all harms way, weather etc, and is in fact a good distance away from the engine, it also uses's the factoru intake duct for a little fresh air to get in when on the move, the filters are real nice too, no more oiling, in the summer you get a nice tone as she sucks in the air, no to very littl loss of torque and throttle response is very good. Plus if you have an aftermarket hood, like evo or something it gets allot of clean air. It's a couple bucks no doubt but a nice intake. IMO.
i never understood the point of the stock intake duct because if you look at where it clips to the front bumper right under the hood...the little slots that intake the air are under it...they dont help and it looks like the intake duct just gets blocked by the hood's rubber seal anyways soo i took it off

honestly ive never seen so much research and arguement done over intake
intake is intake all serves the same purpose and really not a big performance gain. its jst one of the basics to start with and is a must on the other hand.
remember that nothings perfect but you should always go for KNOWN brand names for thier reputation and credibility.
-aem. injen. fujita. rrm.
-weapon R. weapon X. weapon ABCDEFG
if it even ligit, look at its rep, not much ppl kno of it
I have the RRM intake and the check engine light wont stay off. Thats the only mod I have that would do it (and it happened 30 miles after I installed it). A lot of other problems with RRM but I wont get into it here.
apparently the secret weapon intake bolts right on now problem, gives immediate more hp and wheel spin, says the guy i talked to from aftershockauto...
i'm in the same boat right now can't decide, i went with an automatic so the only CAI i can get is the injen 2 peice but shy is the limit when it comes to SRI...
