Haven't drove my ralliart in about a week and decided to take her out right now for a quick spin and maaaan do I appreciate my car even MORE! I open her up and got on it and hearing the intake tone change with MIVEC engages and feeling the car pull harder after @3800rpms just puts a smile on my face.

I pull up to a light and this clean white RX8 w/ carbon fiber hood & turbo ()pulls up next to me

RX8: That's not an evo?
Me: Nope... ralliart
RX8: Ralliart? The new turbo one?
Me: Nah, that's the new one coming out later this year
RX8: Oh cool, car is clean man, exhaust sounds good... what kind?
Me: Greddy Evo 2
RX8: Sweet bro... nice car man!

P.S. We did not race, I just drove pass by him.

Anyways makes me feel even better about my car when people recognize my car and not make some immature comment. Anybody else <3 there car?

Quick question, but does anybody else car pull harder from 60mph-80mph compare from 40mph-60mph?

 

Realistic... you fail and should have your driving privileges removed for streetracing.

PS. A MazdaSpeed 3 would stomp the ralliart. I have driven both.

How is the impreza doing anyway?

A MazdaSpeed 3 would stomp the RA for obvious reasons, it has a turbo. Turbo RA vs Turbo mazda, pfft, RA will walk all over it. No more street talk thank you..

 

base model mazda3 no turbo may get close to the RA but i doubt it would stomp on it. my buddy has one the year it came out and cant seem to gain on me. not saying anything about them being really slow because ive driven one too. and of course TURBO'd mazda speed edition would whoop RA, but 12psi TURBO'd RA....then theres a nice race. RA owners dont underestimate the new TURBO'd mazda3's for it can easily take on a wrx(not sti) jst read your mags and do research.

Our cars our torquey!! and i am amazed at ithe RAs capabilities in its class of cars.
sorry to bring this up but the best race was probably when my friend * a very good racer* broke off an s2k on the freeway on 2nd gear. i was like holy S@*&% , that s2k driver sux lol but that was sweet . we switched cars i drove his non-turbo supra.

The Mazda3 base model has no chance. I mean the RA won't stomp on it, but man, the Mazda3 base has no chance. Not even torquey

The MazdaSpeed 3 is quite quick and from what I've read is faster than an STI and Porshe Carrera from 80km-120km. (50 - 75). I think it was 3.5 seconds..

 

i love my car, but i dont really notice a "kick" when mivec changes, like i know its not gonna be like a turbo spoling kick, but i want more, but i spose o havent really driven many other cars like i drive mine, but i love the long torque range, keeps up with v6's ...
