Talking Exhaust setups other than rrms

Just wondering what everybody else has done for exhaust purposes instead of buying the one or rrm...Personally I custom did myself an axleback which sounds TONS better...Sounds pretty much like it does without the muffler(It's a glass pack)...But the greatest benefit is that it only cost me $25 for everything...

Heres a video, it's not great...And I didn't red line it but I'll post a better one soon...

Video of my ralliart (Not sure if this link works...if not... then just copy that link...

What do ya'll think

I did a 2.5" Custom downpipe with a Borla Universal Muffler with a 2.5 Mandrel pipe.
Sounds loud but deep, there is no raspyness which is what i was looking for. The next step is to replace the stock cataback pipe with a 2.5 pipe and a Borla resonator.

I love the sound of Borla. Haven't heard it on a ralliart yet. I'm getting a stromung for my Impreza. I think a stromung tip would also sound good on a ralliart. I have heard on on a Sentra SE-r Spec V and it was really nice.

Well I pulled it off...took a pipe cutter and cut it a lil after the flange...Then I got a few upsizers and a cherry bomb, took some u clamps...Took about an hour all together...No leaks, no rattle, just pretty deep, and loud exhaust...You can hear the MIVEC pop a lil better too...

sry about the video link...I tried html tag and as you can see...it didn't work ...But just take the http link out of there...Oh and it's on myspace so I hope you ahve one...sry :/

autozone man...$25...I don't remember exactly what sizes...um I blieve I got the $15 cherry bomb with a a 1 7/8 inlet and a 2 outlet...bought a 1 7/8 to 2 sizer, and **** as soon as I find my reset I'll let you know...the easiest way is to pull off the entire muffler from the flange...cut it at a section where the piping isn't like ben(you'll see what I'm talking about) and then just take the flange wherever you cut it...get the correct size piping and a cherry bomb and some u clamps and if done correctly it'll be real solid...um it should be the cherry bomb, a 2" extension, two upsizers, the cherrybomb, and the U clamps...

Or...go by the cherry bomb from any auto part store..and then take it to a muffler shop...give them what probably $30-40 to cut the old piping, and weld it to the piping and weld the supports on, because the hangers weren't exactly easy to igure out...I'll take a picture and post it up later on tonight...

my setup kind of sounds kind of like that. do you think if i swapped out the magnaflow muffler RRM gives i could get rid of the raspyness?

yours sounds less raspy then mine does. def. like it and +1 for custom work.

I'm deff not an expert when it comes to that lol...But my opinion and what i'll believe tell somebody explains otherwise, is that the baffle set up in those cause it to do that...it's kinda like the stock one just louder...even if you don't get the one I got...A glass pack in general will do the job like mine...just a lil defferent pitch changes and different leves of volume...

wow that sounded a lot better than I expected. I was thinking it was going to sound like a car that the muffler fell off of. Good job!
