Also, just so you guys know I will of course be doing some research on the wideband. Can someone just explain very quickly and simple what it specifically does.

I know it tunes the air to fuel ratio (?), but can someone explain it a little more? Thanks

It doesn't tune anything it just gives you a reading then you use the reading to set your AFR, I suggest you buy the zietronix kit since it has a AUX input and you can read the maf.

does it read rpm as well Adam? If so, and you have the extra cash I would definitely go that route. I have three things plugged into my laptop to do the logging I need (yeah, I'm a cheap ***)

Zeitronix is a good one. If you're looking for one that'll mount in a gauge pod, I'd recommend the AEM UEGO.

The factory o2 sensors are not made to sample a broad enough range of readings, hence "narrowband." It is made to make sure the cat is operating properly (with the second o2 sensor readings) and to maintain a stoich mixture during normal driving. The ECU switches to a lookup map when you WOT and ignores the o2 sensor signal; at WOT the factory narrowband signal is flat. The wideband is capable of monitoring the AFR under any circumstances, including WOT, so you can consistently gauge your AFR.

Real easy to spot - good luck getting it off. Clearance sucks - plus the pipe dope they use and the thread locker make it even more difficult. Your better off getting the GReddy Oil Block adapter from www.lancershop.com like I did. Install w/that is a breeze and you don't need to worry about breaking the stock dummy sensor unit screwed into the back. If you break that taking it out your in some trouble. Like you won't be able to drive your car. Remember - safety is very important even when you are adding mods...

I had no problems getting the stock sensor out. The same rules apply to this as with any other work you do to your car - you need to have the right tools.

Seeing as you have the Haltech Interceptor get the Haltech wideband will work great together....

I have a A/F, Vaccumm/Boost (this is ok to use when N.A or turboed will not look out of place)and I am getting a oil temp (on back order from the U.S) running a oil temp is good for knowing when you can start running the car hard as the oil needs to be at correct running temps for boosting to maximise protection in the engine and turbo... look at the Autometer range

I have mine mounted were the fatory H/U used to be and relocated the H/U to the low din space

The Best Gauges To Get For An N/a Setup?

I'm probably going to get:

Oil Temp
Air/Fuel Ratio
Oil Pressure

Is that the best gauges to get for an N/A Setup if I'm going to be tuning later?
If not, which ones?

EDIT: What does Oil Pressure & Vacumn exactly do?
