HELP! You can flame or lock this but I need Help
I know there is a section for this but I need answers asap and people tend to be in this forum more than that one...
I just bought the RRM front lip and I was wondering...
I do need to take off the stock lip correct?
I need to get under my car and move the splash guards correct?
This is a bigger pain in the *ss than I thought correct?
Any other suggestions??
p.s to you people who have already bought this lip, and say you didnt need to paint it... lucky you. Mine is totally scratched and dented so I guess I'm going to have to take out my paint gun which I didnt want to do. Also, my tail lights dont fit correctly, and the CF plate for the dash doesnt even come close. My CAI throws my CEL on. Do I have bad luck with RRM? or does anybody else have these problems.
All answers (even wise ones) will be appreciated.
p.s.s. my short shifter is fine

If you're unhappy with the condition of your lip, you could contact them about it, and/or raise the issue with the shipping company.
As for the first 3 questions, yes, yes and yes, to make it easy, i'd say that those are all necessary.
Other suggestions? What else would you do? Not put it on?
For your non-fitting parts, are your taillights for your model year? (hey someone has to ask), the CF plate you'll probably have to call RRM to deal with, and with your CAI, check to make sure that it's tight, that you haven't damaged the honeycomb in your MAF and that your line is in tight. If that doesn't shut it off, get the code pulled and let us know what it is.

I threw a code and from what I hear its not to rare.
With the parts you bought just tell RRM about your problems and also I dont think you can really not have tails fit right unless they are 03 or older...

Agreed. RRM doesn't make tails, only ships them. The only way they wouldn't fit is if you have the wrong ones. As for the lip, I was unaware it was supposed to come painted (fiberglass one) and would expect that it would need prepping and painting.

Otter- I said that some people said that they didn't need to paint it because it was already black and looked like it was painted. I guess I just got unlucky with that but im not really complaining. Plus $100 for shipping, I'm not sending it back.
Everybody else... I've done EVERYTHING in the past year and have talked to plenty of people about the CAI and nothing helps. I'm not too worried about it unless it damages the car. (too lean or whatever)
The break lights are for the 05 and I have the 05 but it looks like the trunk is slightly open. I think if i just add spacers to where the screws are it will be fine.
The cf plate was a waist of money. I dont care much though.
But back to the Original question... Thanks 03 Lancer ES but are you sure?
Does anybody with a front lip know for a fact the answers to these questions? Any help much appreciated.

I fixed it (after living with it for a long time) by tuning my piggyback myself to bring the fuel trims back down. Now they are 105%, 100%, and 100% instead of 112+, 112+ and 105. A little more adjustment will bring the first one down to around 100, and then I'll be happy with it.
