5zigen - FN01R-C: 17" or 18"?
Evom!
Was speaking with 5zigen over the other day and I was going for the FN01R-C rims in Matte Black. I wanted 17. The representative says its better to go 18" (nothing to do with trying to upsell or anything - friend of mine).
What do you all think in terms of handling, look etc.
He says with 18s, you'll fill the guards better, better handling, go faster once the car is off the line and moving. The 18s still weighed less than stock which is about 19lbs, stock being 21lbs. The 17s are 16lbs. What do you think I should get, 17' or 18"?
Thanks evom!

It looks really empty behind the spokes, because of the fact that the spokes are thin type spokes. Just imagine the Fn01r-C with a tiny little brake rotor/drum, it'd look funny.
Well on 17s you can put taller tires on, and better sizes, since you can run a wider rim and tire and not have to fear rubbing and such. Plus, with more rubber, you run less of a chance of bending a rim and such.

Many of the RA guys have these rims and it looks fine to me wouldn't you think? But then again most probably have their car lowered a little. On a stock setup, will this look weird?
I'm getting a 215/40 setup.
The guy at 5zigen says why not a 235 setup. Will that even fit? Any benefits?

you probably don't want to run 235... that is going to throw you way off the speedometer. 215/40/17 is good. You could be special and run 225 if you aren't lowered. I believe Bruce998jl(sorry bro can't spell your username) runs 225/40/18 with minor rubbing
I did this test a year ago when I got my wheels using the online wheel/tire calculator. I found that the height difference and the wheel profile from 205/50/16 going to 205(or 215 in your case doesnt matter)/40/17 is approximately the same. It might look a little bigger than stock, especially cause now your wheels are lower profile.
