Rrm Intake Prob?

So once upon my drive home today from work,
my car seemed to not get that extra mivec boost.
i didnt understand why.
i turned off my sound and listened carefully.
it sounded like the cold air intake was being suffocating.
upon getting home i instantly got down on my back and looked under.
the filter seemed damp,
but not anything that would do REAL damage or something.
but it without a doubt is dropping my hp like a mother.
any help would be amazing...
i checked the top of the intake too, it was still on tight, the mass air flow sensor was still popped on good too...
im stumped...
help me out guys.

Reset the ECU yet?

If not, you should try that out as you wait for more help right now

^Disconnect your battery for 5 minutes. Check your MAF for dirt aswell.

Take off your filter and check it for debris, if it's suffocating, somethings obstructing ait movement

The ECU wasnt working with the cold air intake, most likely it was still using the air box information.

Its also possilbe that the filter cone either slid too far up onto the piping or was installed too far up, causing the cone to actually cover the intake hole.

so today i hop back into my car,
about 10 minutes into the ride to work,
the intake sounded like it was whistling.

its gotta be either the filter or the maf.
im gonna check everything while im on my lunchbreak,
but is there any way this could be related to me
not adjusting my valve lash yet? im at 43k.

i dont like when mivec isnt giving the power it used to...
