Rrm Intake Prob?
Same thing happened to mines.. Seems like the glue doesn't hold up too well, go on summitracing.com and order a K&N from them, just measure the innerdiameter of the current filter you have. It cost me about 25$ to replace mines.

YES I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. The metal cap or the "bell" i call it fell off. When u drive fast it sucks in and blocks the smooth shifting. I got wat glue i forgot.. but pretty strong one and sealed it with some pressure on it for a few hrs. Then i installed it again.. it never fell off. Jus dont over glue it so much then ull get glue in the filter ( i have a little ). Then it'll never come off and then u can hear swoooosh when drivin at mivec

your avatar makes me laugh every time i see it.
two
i didnt even have to glue it, but i think i will tomorrow when i change over the tranny oil.
seriously guys,
this is the best forum ever,
i <3 you guys.
ps im straight.
Had the same problem with my RRM CAI. The powder coating for the MAS was too thick so it created an uneven fitment. Couldn't solve the problem myself, so I just bought a new RAI from AEM. Not a single problem yet and incredible performance boost!
lol haha thx man. Ralliart power
On a side note, no u dont have to disconnect the battery when installing the SRI. The ECU will automatically adjust to it in a matter of time. Also when done installin it, jus cruise nicely around for 15 min under mivec. Then beat the **** out of it, u should be able to hear a swooshin sound when it spools
. Jus be sure to check it a few of the days after if the bell falls off.Ull kno when that "bell" falls of when ur at a light, ur idle will not be consistent... the needle will be moving.
