swap question

k. i was wondering if you guys know if its possible to swap a evo engine into the ra and use ra tranny to bolt up to engine making it front wheel drive turbo?? asking because i know nissan's can do it with their engines and tranny's for certain rides.

well lets find out im actually gonna do the swap but im still in need of finding a 4G63 Valve cover cause the car got freakin stripped i need a exhaust manifold cams cam gears this really sucks

oh the engine will go in... there's a thread on here of someone that did it but it's really expensive

I believe the RA tranny will fit. As long as the starter motor is in the same place. They are both 4G6x blocks, and the tranny only attaches to the block.

The outlander's 4G63 and 4G69 use the same AWD tranny. So yes, it should bolt up.

sweet i need step by step of what parts to get now. and how they did it. i always thought i would be the first. so did alot of others though.

Why even do it on a RA? It's not even paid off.

As for the illuminati guy, he fell off the face of the earth after doing the swap. Ask the MODs . . . you'll have a better chance of finding big foot in the woods than seeing him again on this board again.

it might be cheaper to turbo the engine you have. its an awesome idea, i just personally couldnt spend the extra money since the car probably would have less or the same HP as the turbo 4g69.
