Our fuel filter isn't serviceable. If you need a new filter for some reason, then you must replace the entire fuel pump module (plastic unit that encases the fuel pump). There is no service interval on the filter, it should last the life of the car.

Hi guys! I know this is an old thread but I like to know a little more abut it, my ralli is not as strong as it use to be, at least in first gear, so I'm looking for reasons, one of those was the fuel filter, but here otter is telling that is not an option. Maybe a fuel inyectors cleanning??? my car is 42K kms, what else could be beffore getting into the clutch??? Again, excuse my english and thanks fot your support!

Part of the reason could be that it's so damn hot down there right now. Engines don't like heat.

Cleaned/replaced your air filter lately? Regular oil changes, tire pressure, the damn heat... Could be any of those.

air intake filter is a big impact on bogging down engines...
I cleaned the air intake on my GVR4 and it made all the difference for the car. Then again it was so dirty from the previous owner i had to wash it about 2-3 times...

I always figured that the fuel filter needed to be changed 20k - 30k kms.

The reason I figure this is because, I thought with most of our modified RA's (ones pushing alot more than stock) which require higher demands on spark and fuel, semi-blocked fuel filter's can affect the air fuel ratio and put added strain on the fuel pump, which can cause detonation.

Please discuss.

If you're worried about it you can pull the fuel pump and visually inspect the filter. However, you'll see that unless you're dumping dirt/gravel into your tank, you're not going to clog the "filter" if you can even call it that. It's basically just a mesh bag over the fuel pump inlet. There's nothing to service on our car in this regard.
