So after a long week of running around and bs I finally got my 06 ralliart. I live in calgary alberta, costed me 27g's for the fully loaded with the sun and sound package. This car is amazing. Look forward to loitering these forums now.

While im here anybody know how much getting the windows tinted would cost. Im only 20 and this is my first car and ive only been driving for 5 months. So im new at all this. And please dont be to rough on me

 

price really varies and your in canada so its going to be more i guess than here in the states but remember you get what you pay for. I payed around 250 USD for mine and thats back 3 as dark as they had and front 2 a few shades darker than legal and a visor strip with high quality tint with a lifetime warranty.

yeah man. Get your windows done professionally. Costed me 100 bucks to do the front two windows. but it'd done well with a 98% perfection rate, per say. the dealership did them at a 95%..so...
get it done right and it'll be better in the long run!

 

Definatley will get it done professionally. Whats the darkest they can do it without making it "illegal"...

Your local tint shops will know what the law is for your area.

FYI -- get a 5 layer film, that is the best quality. You will pay more for it, but it is worth it. Make sure the shop that does it gives you a lifetime warranty.
Also, when someone says they have 20% film (what is on my car), it means that it blocks 80% of outside light (lets in 20%). 20% is also approximately the rating on the back of most SUV's that come with the rear windows darkened.
5% is "limo" tint.

 

Tint is one of the first things I would have done to a car unless the dealership had it done..have fun with your car..

all four doors and front and back set me back $170 and it was legal limit (35%)

 

costed me 200$ to get the front and back done the legal limit, 20% and 35% at the local tint shop.

 

my warranty is 4 years thou...

 

hey i live in calgary too, congrats on ur new ralliart, i jsut bought a 08 GTS, still waiting for it to come form japan. but the cost of tinting depends on wat kind of tint u r looking for, for limo basics ones u r looking around 250-300 for 5 windows
and if u want te color ones it cost more.

 

thanks for some more info.. Been driving the car for a week now and i love it.. everyone i know is jealous (most are still driving their parents cars). I looking into shadowtint in calgary and just the basic tint to 5 windows would set me back 275$. for their premium much like eclipse2lancer was mention about 5 layers was gunna run me around 380 with lifetime warranty. I might just look around b/c i have heard you can get it done for 200 or less. also gunna be ordering my interior LEDS and my underglow hopefully in the next few weeks...
