oil leak...

I bought this oil cap from ebay and it seamed to be fine but now there's seam to be a bit of oil leaking from the cap Maybe a bit of crap on the sealer.

I'll replace the original one tonight.

I was just wondering if you guys had any issue like this.

Thanks

Is it one of those knockoff RalliArt ones? No offense, but if the shipping cost more than the cap, it's junk! Expect it to leak.

Usually ebay stuff sucks, unless people have proved you otherwise (ebay o2 housing for evo) Buy stuff from vendors FTW!

If the cap doesn't seal nice and tight where it's tough to get on and off, it's going to leak oil. I learned the hard way and am on my second oil cap as well after apparently twisting the original the wrong way and it would no longer seal to the cover.

I placed the original back now and cleaned the valve cover. If it leaks again I'll take some pics.

Same, though it might just be a little bit of oil film from filling it, which then gets dirty and shows.
I don't think any car can leak oil as much as my old Chev. Might as well not have even had a valve cover.
