Well in all honesty.. make the RA and coupe, cut the top off.. and well I'll give you big time props. Won't bash on your for wasting cash though, it'll be really creative. Go for it if you want... I wouldn't mind seeing it in person either, though would you have a hardtop mount or soft-top pull away style? Or just no top at all...? haha

I think the hardest thing would be that loss in handling... And making a roll-away soft top conversion. Its easy to cut the roof off.. haha sawsaw ftw..?

Sorry to beat a dead horse but that is what stereotyping is, you just defined it. Just because alot of hispanics have lowriders doesn't mean every hispanic has one. Almost like saying every white guy is a back-woods redneck and can shoot a rifle with dead on accuracy. Not trying to offend with that comment, just trying to help understand why the lowrider comment would be offensive. The two comments are similar in subject.

no stereotyping, op is removed, let's move on.

you could provide additional bracing with the drop in weight from removing the roof and break even, so that's not an issue

cloth top would be the way to go, but you would have to make brackets and all kinds of crap to hold it's shape. For that reason I would say make a sectional roof that you can remove on hot days like t-tops only the whole roof!

Thanks for editing the OP, k3lv.

As for the topic, first you'd need to take your Lancer to Norris Designs for this:

Even then, I don't think a convertable would look right.

well i'll take the title of playboy

i'm not gonna do it, cause that's not something that deserves my time or hard-earned money. i mostly just wanted to hear people's thoughts. it seems like the general opinion is that it wouldn't be worth it cause it would take a LOT of work and look REALLY ugly . i guess i agree. t-top would be cool though.
