4G69 = 178Bhp at the Crank
Yeah, a Stock Lancer Ralliart is 162Bhp, including Auxiliaries, exhaust and CAT.
The engine however, as tested at the factory, is a 178Bhp unit.
It doesnt mean anything to us, because we have to run the accesories, and some of us have CATs... but its nice to know that the engine itself is a 178Bhp lump.
Thats all really, not that useful, not really relevant, but still interesting to know how much the accesories et all sap.

Also worthy of mention is our power steering system. The technical manual mentions it is variable power assist.
The faster the engine is going, the less it assists, and thus the less power it takes. So you'll be getting closer to the engines best peformance when your accelerating hard. It seems to achieve this in a low-tech way, with a spring in the Pump itself!

yeah, I have debated remonving that flow check devive to help my autox woes
don't want to mess with it until the need presents itself again though, the car isn't really setup for anything right now. this project has parts hanging everywhere
