Actually, the Eclipse has almost the same ratios 4th gear, a shorter 5th gear and a nice 6th. I think its limited to 148, cuz it wont go past it no matter if downhill, straight or uphill. It has to be a soft limiter cuz you dont feel a thing

The RA actually goes 110ish in fourth, I wouldnt know the exact mileage, but my RA has hit the limiter in 5th gear, it definately has to be around 140, it travels more than the distance the speedo shows for ten miles. Ive done this quite some times.... yes I'm guilty

The 4g69 has somewhat strong bearings, it was designed to sit high on revs for long periods of time. BUT a 6th gear would make everybody's day

 

so u r saying 2006 eclipse has 160mph on it's cluster but it really don't do 160? r u really sure? is there anyway to look at the mph limit without going into a kamikaze top end race?

 

Nah, I'm just saying I havent seen it by myself. The most Ive taken it is there. Wont go past there for some reason
