Outlander ??

Since there isn't an Outlander section and it has the same engine as an Ra figured I'd ask here

So when the wife gets done driving whether it be from school(about 20miles up the highway) or just up the road to the store when she shuts the thing off the fans kick on spin up pretty fast/loud and turn off after about 5 secs. Never heard this before till the other day... I personally thought she was nuts when she was telling me about it, til I heard it myself.

Also its not running hot or anything that the gauge is reading... doesn't matter day or night either

Just wondering what causes this... any ideas?

No mods, about 38xxx miles, running synthetic oil... its actually due for an oil change in about 200 miles

Take it to the dealer. The Lancers all had recalls on the fan controller a few years ago. In all likelyhood, the Outlander has the same faulty controller.

i believe that the outlanders also had a recall/ bulletin on fan controllers. Call the dealer and have them run your vin and see if there are any recalls open
