bought a new ra

so i did it..
after 3 weeks of searching and thinking i decided to go back to the ra.

i have to pick it up tomorrow.

thunder grey
54,000ish miles.. its alot compared to my car that had 9,000. but watev

when i test drove it.. i was surprised.
the clutch felt extreamly different and it was much easier to shift
it was harder to press the clutch in, not harder... but it required more pressure

no stock tires! yay. f!@# i forgot what it had... i donno. but they were better

when i popped the hood. it looked alot cleaner than i thought it would look.

the intake manifold got my attention though. i looked different somehow.
at first i thought "aftermarket intake manie?"
but i dont think that would be someones first mod. and thats the only thing diff i see on it.

oh and i realized that when i bought my ra, it didnt have the stock exhaust, or atleast muffler.

cause mine had a rear end accident b4 i bought it. and on this one it sounded alot nicer compared to my other ra, were it was more wuiet than this one.

any comments/things i should look for on a 50k+ mile car.

also does anyone have pics of the stock enginebay area. so i can look at that intake manie

thanks
wooo got a RA again!!. for awhile i thought i was going to say good bye or at lease "hey wont be here as much"kinda thing. ha

valve lash adjustment, right away. oil and oil filter change, right away. transmission fluid change, right away. timing belt is coming up. brake fluid needs to be flushed and replaced. check your coolant condition. check the brake pads themselves, just to be sure they aren't almost gone.

take a pic of your manifold, there are no aftermarket manifolds, only ported/polished OEM manifolds, so it should look identical(unless it's been painted)

yeah, but you would be better off doing all that AFTER they do it, just to be sure. NEVER trust the people you are buying a car from, EVER. If you don't believe me, read some of my original posts, especially about my free timing belt at 60k feel free to bump any of those threads with questions too

change ALL the fluilds when you get it.. it maybe time consuming but it would be the best for the car and atleast you know it was done and not just told that it had been

Update it and say it has risen from the dead and has changed colour. In fact, its risen from the dead 46,000 miles later.
