Slight problem
so my radiator fan wont stop running. it keeps going even after the cars turned off. took it to the dealer today to try get it fixed under warranty because its happened before. they fixed it easy last time...i think it was a sensor problem. i figured it would be the same deal this time. btw, this dealership is really cool about warranty.
well after they were done, the service guy tells me that they couldnt fix the problem and would need a further look at it another day. apparently all the sensors and controllers are working fine and car isnt overheating.
here is my probelm...gulp...the guy asked me if i tried reflashing the ecu. i told him no...but truth is i had the rrm piggyback on for a week but its gone now. he also said that it seems "my car is running cool". he wants me to bring my car back another day so they can check the electrical and ecu to see what the problem is. i'm not sure if i should even bring it back to them. when i took the piggy off, i'm pretty sure i put everything back how it was...but now i'm not so sure. did i alter something? any suggestions?

The piggyback doesn't alter anything. The only way they'd be able to tell if it was there is by seeing where you spliced the wires. However, they have no reason to be pulling the glovebox and physically inspecting the ECU. Everything should be done via the MUTS port.
Have them take a look at the fan controller. Mines just went, it keeps going on/off even after the car turns off for like a minute then stops. A new one for my car is about 50$ shipped.

they already said the controllers are fine. lets say they do pull the ecu out an see the electrical tape covering up the splicing, what do u think will happen? will my warranty go out the window? i'm only bringing this up because the guy told me that they were most likely going to have to "take everything apart". they want to check all the wiring throughout the car- from the engine to the ecu. now what?
btw, i think i'm done messing around with this car. its brought me nothing but bad luck and headaches...

^ Sorry to hear.
If they see the wires spliced, unfortunately your warranty will be voided. Have you tried taking the fan connector out while the car is off and then put it back on after a while.
Try that.
