On one hand, I hope he is wrong since 220 hp is a little low considering the car's weight (but then again... they do need to keep a significant hp gap between it and the EVOX). On the other hand, I hope he is right about the release date. The only other person who's made a definitive statement about the release date said 4rth quarter 2008.

the release date could be possible but i dont think the RA will have 220 i think it will come out in the 230 - 240 hp range to be ontop of the WRX coming out with 220 is lower then the 224 hp WRX it just wouldnt make sense for them to try and compete with the wrx and come out with lower HP and more weight... just my thought

I'd love to have an Evo, but unless I see a SIGNIFICANT raise or my freelance ventures begin to bring in more money, I think this is my next ride. Preferably black, possible wing, possible Rockford package, possible sunroof (but probably not to keep weight and price down). Needs the TC-SST. I've never driven manual trans before, and even if I learned, I've got permanent shoulder damage that might make owning a manual-trans car tough for me.
Might as well jump in and make my own guesses on the specs...reply if you think I'm off base.
240hp...possibly as high as 260, but I highly doubt it since this would be too close to the X. 2.0 4B11, not the 2.4 or 4G63 as has been suggested.
AWD is a must if this car is to be a true competitor to the WRX - the Lancer IX hardware sounds plausible.
5-speed manual or 6-speed TC-SST...if only one of these two is available, I'm pretty sure it'll be the SST.
$26,499 MSRP if TC-SST is standard (in other words, if it's the only transmission available). $24,999 if it's optional, or if I was wrong above and the car is 5-speed only. Giving this, I'm thinking an available 5-speed is a good bet so it can base at a WRX-competitive price -- in fact, $24,000 might even be realistic, given that the Subaru is $24,350.
Spoiler, Rockford package, and sunroof optional. Possibly HIDs, but not standard. No Brembos optional or standard. Highly doubt we'll see leather/heated seats, even as an option. Nav/FAST/HDD package available as with regular Lancers.
1/4 mile in 14.35-14.55, 0-60 in 5.85-6.05. Top speed 145 mph.
