I don't remember how the stock muffler sounded, it was only on my car for about 3 days The magnaflow should sound pretty deep though, without buzzing.

oh yea right canadian tire must of gone on sale recently cause last time i chekced it was 175 and i said are you kidding??

i went thru some trouble getting it delivered while i was visiting in nyc...

your mech will have to make a custom fit bc when he takes off the stock muffler your 14829 will not fit directly...unless u want ur new muffler to be hiding under the bumper..

its too short..
but good luck 125 is not bad

ya i got mine at canadian tire and it was 175 and for the installation, it cost me 211 (minute muffler & took 1 1/2 hrs to complete) becuz they added some flangers & custom fit as byc_panty said, it doesnt fit directly. also when u get it installed make sure it doesnt stick out that much out of the bumper or too far in.

Mine does the same thing. Keeps the black build up off that beautiful white bumper.
If only they made a CF bumper guard for the exhaust, I would be all over it so I could scoot my exhaust back under the bumper.

I bought the longest muffler that would fit back there, it's like 29" from end to end. the inlet is barely sticking over the axle, and the outlet is barely under the bumper. I added an extension to clear the bumper, and had to weld an additional bracket to the car because the size was so different. sounds awesome, and if I have time before this weekend I will have my second muffler welded in as well. It's another biggun, this one 30", and is going right behind the cat(round body.) That will make two magnaflows and hopefully a really quiet ride

I got a small piece of light gauge stainless for this, it won't go on for a long time though, as performance comes first for me and I can deal with it sticking out until then.

of a piece of metal? if you really want them, but I can describe it to you.

22GA .0291 301 #4POL 000.0291X006.5000X030.7500

rectangle, #4 polished, 22 gauge (.0291") 6.5" by 30.75" (will need to be cut down)

thin gauge is easy to form, so I should be able to attach one side and work to the other side. can be cut with tin snips or any form of grinding tool very easily.

i actually just went to eastons minute muffler where i live in lindsay ontario and they quoted me 125 to get it put on. they put it up in the lift today and they said it will be about one hour to get it on cuz they will have to do some custon work to get it on. i decided to just get them to put it on the factory axle back. someone said if the muffler is to far under the bumper it'll be black from the exhaust so should i stick it out about an inch or so? i really didnt wanna have it sticking out at all but i dont want to be cleaning my white bumper all the time.

ok i think the sound is becomming deeper yet still somewhat loud...

maybe the mech who welded the pipes did a crappy job? i know he had to bang the stock pipes to kinda make it fit all nice and dandy... there is a part on the stock pipe that has a flatter appearance slightly...

oh well....

the gf was getting a headache from the exhaust but i m kinda getting used to it..
weird..

I would definitely recommend mounting the muffler so that it does stick out a little only because if you don't, you will be cleaning your bumper all the time. Unless you go with something like D@N said and make a guard for the bumper.

the entire stock exhaust system has random crimps and flat spots. Is the one you're talking about right at the axle? Mitsu did a horrible job on the exhaust, the only positive thing is the fact that there is enough room to get over the axle.
